ExcerciseMany people have heard about the physical benefits of exercise. While it’s true that working out will help your physical and mental health, finding time during a busy day can be hard. And let’s face it, sometimes people are too exhausted to go to the gym after work, school, or other activities. So what can you do to make sure you incorporate exercise in your day? Let’s review a few simple strategies.

Plan out your week – On Sunday evening, pick out a couple times during the week when you could exercise. Try a variety of exercises (like swimming, biking, or walking) to keep yourself engaged!

Set realistic goals – Don’t put pressure on yourself to work out too much. By setting realistic, personal goals you’re more likely to improve your day to day functioning.

Incorporate simple exercises – Go for regular walks at work, take the stairs instead of the elevator, or bike to work! By staying active you’re keeping your body and mind fit.  

Get enough sleep – With a busy schedule this can be hard but do your best to sleep at least 8 hours a night.

Improve your diet – You don’t need to completely change your eating patterns, but try trading in your coffee for an apple or banana a couple times a week.
