Amy Sheinberg, PhD

My training equips me to work with children, adolescents and adults suffering from anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, high functioning neuro- atypical- developmental disorders, eating disorders and identity crises.

I immensely enjoy working with individuals during life transitions helping them to solidify their identity, develop healthy coping mechanisms, launch effectively, and constructively separate and individuate from their families of origin. Moreover, I help individuals through marital challenges, separations, divorces, remarriages, and blending of families. I assist individuals of all ages identify and change maladaptive thought and behavior patterns and generate desired outcomes that are realistic and attainable.

I was trained to think and formulate analytically, but I also utilize interpersonal and cognitive- behavioral techniques to help those with chronic mental illnesses identify their maladaptive thoughts and interpretations, behaviors and desired outcomes to help them regain control of their emotional lives and relationships.
