Anna Brandon, PhD

Dr. Anna Brandon is a board-certified clinical psychologist in private practice in Southlake, Texas. Anna completed her doctoral training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and subsequently received a Master of Science in Clinical Science as an NIH-funded Clinical Scholar. As an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern, Anna assisted in the development of a free-standing Women’s Mental Health Center, and was awarded an early career development award from the National Institute of Mental Health to develop Partner-Assisted Interpersonal Psychotherapy (PA-IPT) for perinatal mood disorders. Her research took her to the University of North Carolina, where between 2011 and 2014 she was also the staff psychologist at the first dedicated perinatal psychiatry inpatient unit in the US. Anna returned to Texas in 2014 where in addition to her private practice she is a Clinical Assistant Professor for UT Southwestern and the University of Iowa. Alongside the clinical supervision for graduate students at UT Southwestern, Anna serves as an Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) trainer and collaborates in IPT research at the University of Iowa.
