Dana O’Brien, PhD

I have been in practice for over 25 years, serving children, adolescents, and adults. When seeing a client in therapy, I take a collaborative approach to treatment, working with my clients to help them attain their goals. I generally take a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment. Cognitive-behavioral therapy focuses on understanding how our thoughts affect our emotions and responses to events in our lives. It is a treatment approach that has been found to be effective with a wide variety of problems, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders and depression. I also work with parents on concerns related to parenting, including helping parents with behavior management techniques. I also conduct psychological and psychoeducational assessments.
