Kelly Zbojovsky, PhD

Dr. Kelly Zbojovsky is a clinical psychologist licensed in the states of New Jersey and New York. Dr. Zbojovsky graduated from Princeton University with of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Zbojovsky received clinical training working with children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of psychopathology in outpatient and acute inpatient settings. Her research focused on risk and resiliency factors in adolescence and the role of evidence-based practices to help youth and families to promote positive development. She has published her Master’s thesis and continues to peer review articles for a journal focused on child and adolescent research. During her graduate training, Dr. Zbojovsky was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and was the recipient of the Outstanding Child/Adolescent Track Student Award and Black History in the Making Award for academic excellence and service to the University community.

During her two-year postdoctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Zbojovsky continued her clinical training with children and adolescents, specifically focusing on psychological assessments, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and parent management training. Dr. Zbojovsky was specifically trained in the application of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to children, adolescents and adults, and she served as a primary therapist for a research study conducting Dialectical Behavioral Therapy adapted for children (DBT-c). Her clinical areas of interest include working with children, adolescents, and young adults with severe emotional and behavioral dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, social skill deficits, anxiety disorders and a history of trauma exposure.
