Peregrine Kavros, PhD

Dr. Kavros is committed to helping individuals, couples and executives maximize their potential and improve their relationships. In addition to improving personal and professional relationships, Dr. Kavros’ addresses concerns such as stress and anxiety, trauma, attention problems, underdeveloped executive function skills (organizational skills), time management, compulsive avoidance of tasks, and sexual issues such as anorgasmia, vaginismus (involuntary spasm of muscles surrounding the vagina), dyspareunia (painful intercourse), premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, and overuse of porn and phone sex.

Dr. Kavros completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, Hunter College. Her training included a clinical internship at ANDRUS (Center for Preventive Psychiatry) and a postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology at Columbia University. Post graduate training in Human Sexuality and Sex Therapy at the New York University School of Medicine under the direction of Dr. Virginia Sadock and Amy Rosenberg, LCSW consolidated Dr. Kavros’ ability to provide integrated support services for individuals and couples.

Dr. Kavros has held academic appointments at Columbia University, Hunter College, Pace University, and the New York University Langone Center. Dr. Kavros has presented on topics such as mindfulness, difficult situations (sex, bullying & disempowerment), and intergenerational communication in the workplace. She has contributed to book chapters and reference works and has published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals.
