Denise J. Hanson, PsyD
Specialites include: Psychological and neuropsychological testing, individual therapy and consultation, specializing in working with children and families, learning disabilities, cognitive behavioral therapy, systems, EMDR, ongoing seminars on mental health issues for schools and community, Cogmed working memory training, and neuropsychological evaluations with patients diagnosed with TBI, Stroke, and other neurological conditions. (I have been consulting at Presbyterian Rehab Center in Charlotte for almost one year....doing evals on Stroke, TBI, dementia patients, and other neurological conditions, so I feel that I have "refreshed" my skills in this area). Book in progress: I have a book in progress on anger, stress, and forgiveness. The original book proposal is complete and has been accepted by a publishing agent. However, my goal is to take what I have done with the book and use a Christian perspective to finish it. I am not actively working on it at this time because I am attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary to earn my masters in Christian ministry. Stay tuned for the final product.
