Elizabeth Ross, PhD she/her

My practice focuses on health psychology, trauma, and substance abuse. Prior to transitioning to private practice, I worked at TIRR Memorial Hermann for 6 years on spinal cord injury and was promoted to an administrative position overseeing all outpatient psychotherapy services. Other relevant work experience includes treating patients in the pain department at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine. My work in substance abuse includes a position at a residential treatment facility called the Orchard on the Brazos where I started the mental health program. In my practice, I treat clients with medical issues, chronic pain, insomnia and sleep disorders, trauma and PTSD, and substance abuse issues. I have been formally trained in CBT for insomnia (CBT-i) Motivational Interviewing (MI) and prolonged exposure (PE). In 2023, I transitioned from a solo practice to a group practice. I have three therapists and two trainees in my practice. We have since expanded our services to include maternal mental health and OCD/ anxiety disorders.
