Each of us are born capable - with a constant capacity to learn and change. Throughout my 30 plus years as a clinical psychologist and marriage and family therapist, my purpose is to walk with those who seek care and change helping to initiate healing and growth - strongly, deeply, firmly. Seeking professional help for stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties - self-esteem - trauma - psychological issues related to medical conditions/work…yes, seeking professional help is courageous. The individuals and couples with whom I work cross the spectrum of life…. with painful break-ups, with broken communication, with grief and trauma, with wanting emotional connection with others and with partners, improved communication throughout their world; wanting to heal past wounds - or present; desiring to build self-awareness and self-esteem; to become more assertive, resilient, independent. I work intensely alongside and together with my patients to enable knowledge, understanding, healing and growth in places within themselves which thwart the achievement of their personal goals. I have been trained and certified in several kinds of psychotherapy studying throughout my career - most recently (since 2005) with Complex Integration of Multiple Brain Systems. I now teach and supervise therapists in this modality. This therapy helps you to learn both what is happening within you and your world is also happening in your brain and within your body. Through this close work together we discover how to access those places in you which open your self to new possibilities of relating to yourself and others. My office setting is in a quiet professional building in Bellevue. Our first session will be listening and learning about you, your concerns, your goals, responding to your questions about our working together and developing our immediate goals.
