Lidia Cardone, PhD
I have over 30 years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of adults, adolescents, and couples. My training is in Psychoanalytic (Object-Relations), Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Theories, with extensive direct (private practice) and indirect (teaching and supervisory) experience. Presently I treat adults and couples, with a full range of issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, life cycle transitions, relationships/marital issues, grief and losses, as well as impulsivity and anger related issues. The main goals of treatment are for the individual to develop insight, internal strengths building and more effective ways of functioning, and for couples: develop better communication and understanding of the couple's dynamics for the improvement of the relationship and individual satisfaction. I provide a thorough initial evaluation to insure that an appropriate treatment plan is conceptualized and presented to the individual (couple) at the end of the initial interview.
