Robert Perl, PsyD

I work with adults of all ages to address mood, relationship, personality, academic, and career concerns. My training was largely psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, but my practice is more integrative, as I have made a practice of incorporating other approaches such as CBT, ACT, narrative, and interpersonal therapies. I have a great deal of experience working with LGBT individuals, as well as students and business professionals. Additionally, I have many years experience working with individuals with bipolar disorder and severe mental illness. I aim to create a warm and supportive atmosphere in my practice, where I can work productively with my patients toward resolving the issues that keep them stuck or dissatisfied with their lives. Change can be uncomfortable, and my approach is to be sensitive to that fact while still challenging the status quo. I beleive that relationships have the potential to be painful, but also healing, and I hope to facilitate healthy, satisfying realtionships in the lives of my patients.
