Screening Tools for Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, PTSD, Alcohol/Substance Use, and More

Mental Health America (MHA), a nonprofit that seeks to address the needs of those living with mental illness and promote the overall mental health of all Americans, has made a collection of mental health screening tools available to the public free of charge. These screening tools are offered as a means for members of the community to answer questions that may increase self awareness about personal mental health. Using the results as a guide, an open conversation can be held with a healthcare or behavioral health provider.

Take advantage of this resource to learn about your mental health. Available screenings include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar
  • PTSD
  • Alcohol or Substance Use
  • Youth
  • Parent
  • Psychosis
  • Work Health Survey

According to MHA, “taking a screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.”
